If your operation generates any hazardous waste, your facility will fall into one of three U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) generator categories. Your category is determined by the amount of hazardous waste generated and/or stored.

To determine your generator category, keep a facility-wide inventory of the amount of hazardous waste produced each calendar month and stored on-site at any given time. You can download weekly and monthly logs on the right. Your generation rate and accumulation limit will determine which category your facility falls into.
